Sundry Foods Limited has disclosed its plans to make investments that would continually improve its processes and partnerships in the food industry.
Chairman of the Board, Sundry Foods Limited, Adedotun Sulaiman, disclosed this during the company’s 20th Anniversary Gala held at the weekend, in Lagos.
He said the company had experienced two decades of growth, innovation and an unwavering commitment to excellence, factors that have driven its operations to become a leader in the Nigerian food services industry.
He said: “We will also continue to invest in improving our processes and growing our partnerships to ensure we remain at the forefront of the Nigerian food services industry while continuing to remain true to our core values of continuous improvement, respect for the individual, integrity, professionalism, teamwork and passion for the customer”.
According to Sulaiman, Sundry Foods began as a simple but bold idea, with a simple yet profound mission to offer quality and quick food services that reflect and cater to the diverse tastes and preferences of the people.

He said: “The dream was to create a company that would bring quality, convenience and a deep connection to our rich culinary heritage. Our beginning was humble, to be that one quick service restaurant that dared to challenge the status quo, with a commitment to offering not just food, but a culinary experience.”
Continuing, he said the company knew the journey was not going to be easy. “There would be challenges that will test our resolve, that there would be moments of uncertainty that will demand courage, and opportunities that would require us to think creatively and to act decisively. But we also knew that in all this, one thing was going to be constant and unshakeable, an unwavering belief in the vision to make a difference and an abiding faith in our ability and potential to make it happen”.
Also speaking Managing Director, Sundry Foods Limited, Nnamdi Opara, said it has been an incredible journey in the past 20 years. He said, everyday of those years was a gift.
He said the support of customers for the business has continued to motivate the management and staff to give their best for its success. He said the company’s priority has always been to ensure that the customer is happy and getting value from the products of the company. He said that for years, food, shelter and clothing have always been area of interest to him.
He advised business owners to always understand the market opportunities and the customers.
Speaking at the event, Chairman, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, Tony Elumelu, said he was very proud of the achievements of the company in the last 20 years.
He said UBA will continue to support the company’s operations as it had done in the past, and wishes the company continued success in its operations.
Speaking further, Sulaiman, disclosed that from the company’s humble beginnings with just one restaurant in Port Harcourt, it has grown to become an integrated food services company, offering a diverse portfolio of products and services across 197 business units in 116 locations across 16 of the 36 states in Nigeria, including Lagos and Abuja.
He said each of the company’s new location has represented not just a business opportunity, but a commitment to positively contributing to the local economy, creating jobs, and enhancing the quality of life in the communities we serve.
“Our quick service restaurants, principally Kilimanjaro, have become a household name, known for quality, consistency, and commitment to customer satisfaction. Our bakeries have brought fresh, delicious baked products to countless homes, and our industrial & events catering services have set new standards in the industry,” he said.
He thanked the employees, business partners and customers for all their contributions to the company’s growth.
“As we celebrate 20 years, we are reminded that the journey of innovation and customer centricity never truly ends. We are committed to continuing to push boundaries, explore new frontiers, and set new standards for quality and service in our industry,” he said.
He said the Nigerian food services industry is constantly evolving, and so will Sundry Foods. The next chapter of Sundry Foods will be characterized by continued growth and expansion, fresh innovations, and an even stronger commitment to our customers and the communities we serve.
