Africa’s leading integrated agricultural commodities company, Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited (“Sunbeth”), has successfully completed a ₦150 billion Commercial Paper issuance under its ₦500 billion Commercial Paper Programme, attracting subscriptions exceeding ₦220 billion.
The transaction will provide short-term working capital for Sunbeth’s cocoa procurement activities during the 2026/2027 cocoa season. It will also support inventory requirements for the company’s 70,000-metric-tonne-per-annum processing facility, which is scheduled to commence operations in the first quarter of next year.
Commenting on the transaction, Adeyemi Aduwo, Chief Financial Officer of SunbethGlobal Concepts Limited, said:

“We thank our investors and transaction partners for their support. Our focus remains ondisciplined execution, responsible use of proceeds and timely fulfilment of our obligations.”
Sunbeth has continued to strengthen its presence in Nigeria’s domestic debt capital market, following the successful redemption of the first series of its debut Commercial Paper (CP) issuance, which was oversubscribed by 65%. The newly approved ₦500 billion CP Programme establishes a structured framework for accessing short-term funding to support the company’s seasonal working capital requirements and operational needs.
The ₦150 billion issuance, offered across three tenors of 180, 270 and 364 days, attracted strong investor interest, closing at over ₦220 billion in subscriptions and achieving an oversubscription of 48.67 per cent. This strong investor response underscores market confidence in Sunbeth and highlights the capacity of Nigeria’s domestic capital market to mobilise financing for productive activities and growth in the agricultural sector.
Through the issuance, Sunbeth continues to strengthen its integrated agricultural platform, spanning sourcing, aggregation, and international trade, while advancing its plans to increase value creation within Africa’s agricultural economy.
Sunbeth maintains national-scale credit ratings from established African rating agencies, with long-term ratings ranging from BBB to BBB+ and a short-term rating of A2.
