The Principal Consultant of Vera James GC Limited, Dr. Vera James was honoured with the award of Icon of Mentorship and Fellowship by the Chartered Institute of Corporate Mentoring and Coaching Nigeria (CICMCN).
The Director General of the Institute, Mr. Rotimi Matthew noted that the choice of Dr. Vera James for the award was carefully done considering her contribution in the field of coaching and mentoring in education and beyond.
According to him, the award is for distinguished individuals with pedigree and proven track record of positively influencing people and excelling in their field of endeavours.
In his words to Dr Vera, he said “to whom much is given much more is required, your experience is invaluable to the institute”.
He further said “some are deserving but not honoured, some are honoured but not deserving, today you are both deserving and honoured. Congratulations.”
In response, the awardee, Dr. Vera James (a Certified Management Specialist/Consultant from the London Graduate School and the Institute of Management Consultants Nigeria – IMC, who also holds a Fellowship from the IMC and a Management Team Member of the Ask The Paediatricians Foundation) acknowledged the institute for recognising her efforts, saying “I an honour to be a recipient of an award from this great institute.
All the glory goes to God who has ordered my steps, making it possible for me to touch the lives of people all over the world either to my knowledge or otherwise. I find purpose in *building a fellowship of people* and helping them find structure and fulfilment in what they do.
It is a calling I have nurtured right from a very young age, and I intend to continue touching lives as long as God gives me grace.”
